Thats what they’re calling it anymore, it seems: speech which is offensive. Reasonable.
But you know, the only thing about “offensive speech” is that it’s ha ha OFFENSIVE.
It’s not against the law to be offensive. At least, not to MY knowledge.
We’re so worked up socially by bad words, offensive ideas, or offensive (yet harmless) actions. I understand you have feelings! I understand you don’t like to be hurt by said “offensive speech!” But didn’t your Mommy and Daddy ever tell you that life isn’t always fair? It’s not always kind?
As a nation, we need to get over being offended by the slightest thing. We need to learn how to relax, unfurl, appreciate. Pick your battles! I assure you, “offensive speech” is not worth it, since we’re all entitled to it.
Simple solution? If you can’t handle what you hear, don’t listen.
